The good work we do for God can blind us to the development and work of sin in other aspects of our lives. when we obsess over our good deeds, we begin to flatter ourselves until we become blind to our other sins. when God does the good work of exposing these sins, we may try to quickly fix them or become paralyzed by them. but the way to regain our sight is through a broken and a contrite heart.
